Clarity affords focus.

When you start organizing yourself, your mind will already be clear. A clear mind resides in a boosted brain. The more clarity you have in your daily tasks, the more your mind can focus on important and creative work. If you don’t keep yourself organized, you will struggle to complete even the smallest tasks. On the other hand, if you organize yourself and work within the rules, a lot of work can be done easily.

A = On a mission to get yourself organized, you must first commit to taking ACTION. You, too, can beautify yourself and your life.

B = Keep a backup of everything (BACKUP)

Make duplicate copies of your computer’s necessary files and important documents. Scan your National Identity Card (NID), Birth Registration Certificate, educational certificates, and passport, and store them safely. You can keep them in an email or online cloud storage (Google Drive) for easy access. Make copies of important documents, such as photocopies of your financial records, and store them carefully.

→ Backup your necessary images as well. Mobile cameras are now our daily companions. Countless pictures are taken every day without much thought. Sometimes, images get deleted accidentally. That’s why we often suffer a lot. So, keep a regular backup of the pictures taken with your camera to recover them if they get deleted for any reason.

C = CHECK THINGS IN COLLECTION OCCASIONALLY

You may have items like clothes or books that are not in use or left unused after a while. Donate them to someone or sell them.

D = Write down tasks instead of relying on memory

It is common to forget tasks at some point. So, write down each task somewhere, such as in a diary or an online note-taking app (Google Keep/Evernote).

Keep your to-do list and other important information in a place where it is always visible and readily available. This will reduce the chances of having unfinished work.

E = Promotional emails (E-MAIL) / Keep unnecessary messages off

If you check your mobile phone, you may find unnecessary messages in your inbox. Unsubscribe from these email and SMS services to avoid unnecessary distractions.

F = Check the expiration of food and medicines

You may buy food in bulk or store medicines for emergencies. Check these items periodically for their expiration dates. Otherwise, these essential items could become harmful instead of helpful.

G = Save all your passwords safely online (GOOGLE DRIVE) and offline

A password is a virtual key that we use constantly. It is unsafe to use the same password everywhere. Use different passwords for different accounts and store them securely.

H = Keep frequently used areas (HOUSE & ROOM) clean

Every house and office has areas that need regular cleaning, such as the reading table, computer table, dining table, personal desk, and basin. Keep these areas clean regularly.

I = KEEP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS (INCOME & EXPENSES)

Many people struggle to track their money. By the end of the month, they may find that their money is exhausted while many tasks remain unfinished. Use an online application to track how much money you have and where it is being spent.

For example, I use the Monefy app, downloaded from the Play Store.

With this, you can see how much money has been spent in each sector, what work needs to be done, whether you have enough funds for it, and whether any money is left for savings.

J = JOIN FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE TIDY MISSION

You cannot tidy up your home or office alone. Therefore, encourage all family members and colleagues to stay clean. Instruct family members to tidy up (if you are senior) or request them (if you are junior). Assign responsibilities to everyone, including small children, so they learn to be clean from a young age.

K = Kitchen (KITCHEN) — Organize what you need

A kitchen requires many items. However, professional chefs always find what they need instantly because they keep everything well-organized. Each item has a designated place, making it easily accessible.

Practice this level of organization in your reading room, workplace, home, and other areas.

L = LOVE PEOPLE, NOT GOODS

Give away or sell an old item before buying something new. This is a great trick. When you purchase something new, if you already have a similar item, give it away or sell it. This prevents unnecessary accumulation and makes managing your belongings easier.

Brain fact: The limbic system in the female brain is more structured, making women more loving and emotional than men.
